Retail is trading novelty for focus, and it’s refreshing to see. I’m still energized from last month’s Women in Retail Leadership Summit, where I had the chance to be in a room with so many thoughtful, ambitious leaders shaping what’s next for retail. One theme I keep coming back to is how intentional brands and retailers are becoming about where they place their biggest bets. There was plenty of conversation around innovation and AI, but what stood out most was the reminder that not every brand needs to chase the most cutting-edge tech to stay relevant. The brands that felt most grounded were the ones doubling down on what makes them worth choosing: clear brand identity, strong customer relationships, and operational excellence. Three reflections I’m taking with me: ➡️ Master the basics first. The fundamentals are the foundation for meaningful innovation. ➡️ Know your audience. The strongest ideas connect to the priorities of the people in the room. ➡️ Less is more. Doing fewer things exceptionally well is far more powerful than chasing every new opportunity. A special thank you to Heather LeMasters and Aritzia for being such incredible partners, and to my team at Wpromote for the work that made this moment possible.

May 2026Batteries Plus employees love talking about batteries. They also love dreaming about batteries, making meatloaf shaped like batteries, naming their children after batteries, and most of all, helping customers with batteries! The Wpromote team is thrilled to debut a new campaign showing off the expertise and slightly unhinged enthusiasm of “The Experts in Charge.” Check out five new :15 TV sots below, and stay tuned for more fun including radio spots done as 1980s “power ballads” with 100% battery-themed lyrics. So much fun being had with our amazing, brave Batteries Plus clients who are building a brand that takes batteries seriously…but never themselves. May 2026In the grand LinkedIn tradition of politely pretending this is not a brag, here’s a very obvious Monday morning humblebrag for our team and our stellar partners at Zoox ! Four new films. Four memorable first-time stories. One actual world’s first. This follow-up to our launch campaign late last year features comedy truth-teller Luenell, Red Bull athlete and professional mountain biker Paul Basagoitia, and influencer couple Alexandra Madison and Jon Bouffard, each sharing one of their own memorable first-time stories while taking their first ride in a world’s first: Zoox , the autonomous vehicle built from the ground up. Proud of the team for making something charming, funny, and human around a genuinely world-first experience.
