I spoke at Atlanta AI Week this week on making AI work at mid-sized firms. Standing room only, which I definitely didn't expect. Atlanta AI Week was one of the best AI events I've attended in Atlanta. Three days of real conversations about what AI actually looks like inside businesses, not keynotes about the future but practitioners sharing what's working right now. Being part of that as a speaker was a privilege, and the caliber of the people in the room made it clear that this city is building something serious in this space. The session was about frameworks and methodology, Identify, Prototype, Prove, and I walked in ready to talk about process. But the conversation kept coming back to something more fundamental. AI literacy. Not "how to use AI tools." Real literacy. Understanding what these tools can and can't do. Knowing when to trust the output and when to question it. Building the judgment that turns a person who uses AI from time to time into someone who actually works differently because of it. And underneath that, something I feel even more strongly about: the human experience of all this. People are being told to change how they work with almost no support. No context. No safe space to be bad at it before they get good at it. We talk about adoption rates and ROI, but we almost never talk about what it actually feels like to be the person in the middle of it. That's the gap. Not the technology. The technology is ahead of most of us. The gap is how we bring people along. Thanks to Mario Montag for a great conversation on stage, and to everyone who came up afterward to continue it. Those conversations were the best part. LinkedInThought Leadership

Many SEO strategies were built around a simple rule: one keyword per page. Search systems now evaluate whether content answers real questions and demonstrates expertise across a topic. Practical adjustments for modern SEO writing: Optimize for questions, not just keywords: Content should address the actual prompts people ask. Structure answers clearly: Definitions, comparisons, and summaries help systems interpret your content. Prioritize expertise: Original insights, real examples, and credible data strengthen authority. The goal isn’t just ranking pages. It’s making your content useful enough to be referenced. #ThoughtLeadership #SEO #AISEO #ContentStrategy

AI is shaping decisions earlier than most analytics ever show. In a recent Moz discussion, one point stood out: AI often influences choices without sending traffic. A brand can be referenced, compared, and selected before a user ever visits a website. That has implications for how performance is evaluated: • Mentions and citations signal visibility beyond clicks • Reputation across forums and reviews affects recommendations • Branded searches often follow AI-driven comparisons This provides a useful way to think about how search contributes to demand, even when traffic patterns look different than they used to. https://lnkd.in/epHjGXRH #ThoughtLeadership #SEO #AI #MarketingStrategy

Website traffic has long been used as a key performance signal. But that metric now tells only part of the story. Industry reporting shows that roughly 51% of website activity is generated by bots, including AI systems and search crawlers that scan content before users ever visit a site. That shift changes how visibility is created. Many buying journeys now begin with AI summaries, search snippets, or automated analysis of your content. When evaluating performance, consider broader signals. 🔵 Whether your content is referenced in AI summaries 🔵 How search engines interpret your pages 🔵 Whether your messaging is clear enough to be summarized accurately Visibility now often forms earlier in the discovery process. https://lnkd.in/ecJjsHWR #WSI #DigitalStrategy #MarketingLeadership #AISEO #BusinessGrowth

Tomorrow I get to talk about something I've been working on for a while. Not tools. Not models. Not which AI platform is winning the week. How to make AI actually stick at companies that don't have a hundred-person IT department behind them. The change management, the culture, the leadership decisions that determine whether an AI initiative becomes part of how a company works, or just becomes a story about something they tried once. Social media performance trends are diverging. New benchmark data shows median brand follower growth on TikTok exceeded 200% year over year, highlighting the platform’s role as a major discovery channel. At the same time, organic reach on Instagram is declining across all post types. For marketers, that signals a shift in platform roles. 🔵 TikTok increasingly drives audience growth 🔵 Instagram supports engagement and brand presence 🔵 Platform-specific content formats matter more than ever Successful strategies align content with how each platform distributes it. https://lnkd.in/eDeSC-Z5 #WSI #DigitalMarketing #SocialMediaStrategy #MarketingLeadership #ContentStrategy
