We've been hit with this from investors a few times: "You have a large founding team." We can move better and faster. Full stop.
May 2026"You have a large founding team." We've heard this more than once. WVN has four cofounders, and some people think that's a lot. But here's what I keep coming back to: → Cursor has 4 cofounders. Valued at $29 billion. → Wiz has 4 cofounders. Acquired by Google for $32 billion. → Notion has 3 cofounders. Valued at $10+ billion. → Segment had 4 cofounders. Acquired by Twilio for $3.2 billion. → PlanGrid had 5 cofounders. Acquired by Autodesk for $875 million. → Airbnb has 3 cofounders. Worth over $80 billion. The pattern isn't "fewer founders = better odds." The pattern is complementary skills, shared vision, and the ability to move fast without a single point of failure. Solopreneurs and two-person teams often face a brutal reality: 70% of solopreneurs cite burnout as their primary challenge. Nearly half of self-employed workers have considered quitting due to stress. When you're stretched across sales, product, operations, and fundraising, then something breaks, and it's usually you. Building a company is relentless. Having cofounders who can genuinely divide and conquer isn't a liability. It's an advantage. At WVN, we have a CEO ( James Chester ), CTO ( Oscar Prom ), CRO ( Katie Williams ), and CSO (myself). We're a mixed-gender team covering leadership, product, revenue, strategy, and visibility. In just a few months, we've secured brands like PepsiCo, Tecovas, and Mugsy. We've also built a seven-figure pipeline because we're intentional about bringing humanity into every interaction. That matters when your clients share a mission to create the best IRL experiences for their communities. The odds are actually in our favor because of what the four of us can achieve together. And I couldn't be more thrilled to be on this journey with them. 🚀 Share your entrepreneurial journey and any advice for fellow founders — let's celebrate what we're all building and achieving together 👇 #StartupLife #Founders #Entrepreneurship
